2 yard Mini skip hire guide
A 2 yard skip (or 'mini skip' as it is often referred to) is designed for small amounts of household, garden, or builders' waste. It can hold 20-30 filled bin bags or approximately two fridge freezers or four dishwashers.
Due to their size, mini skip hire prices are the cheapest on the market so if you have a very small amount of waste and want to keep costs down to a minimum, then hiring one might be the perfect solution. However, bear in mind that if you get it wrong, the cost of ordering another will greatly outweigh the cost of ordering a 4 yard or 6 yard skip in the first place.
It is worth noting that because mini-skips are so small, they are much easier to locate than other larger skips. So, if you plan on putting a skip off the road but only have a small garden or driveway then a 2 yard skip might be just the ticket. Remember though that, just because a mini skip is mini, the lorry delivering it will be a whole lot bigger!
Since their size restricts their usefulness to all but the smallest projects, two yard skips are in practise quite rare. As such, To keep things simple therefore, skipandbin.com is currently not offering a 2 yard skip as a drop down option. However, if you arrived at this page and were disappointed not to be able to hire a 2 yard skip, please get in touch because, if enough people ask for mini skips, we will chase our suppliers to offer them. In the meantime, why not order a 4 yard skip instead? It will only cost a few pounds more and we're sure you will find some extra junk to put in it! Check out our skip size guide for a handy comparison of all the skips we offer.
Bear in mind that there are certain things you can't put in a skip. We used a picture of a car because we thought it was helpful when trying to understand the scale of the skip, but tyres and electricals can't actually go in a skip, as a general rule. We're just keeping you on your toes.
